PDX-based photographer Aaron Wessling has an eclectic mix of photographic interests and ongoing projects, but works primarily in the fields of fashion and portrait photography. Aaron grew up on the limestone flats of Florida, making the transcontinental migration to Portland in 2011, and now exists in a constant state of awe, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest . When he’s not out shooting, you can usually find Aaron volunteering at Newspace Center for Photography, gallivanting around the Oregonian coast, or sipping on a craft cocktail or brew in SE Portland.
Sydney is a 23 year-old aspiring personal stylist currently living in Portland, OR. Originally from Minnesota, Syd is happy to have lived in Oregon long enough to finally consider herself an Oregonian, and has all the early symptoms of a crazy cat lady (but only because they’re so darn cute!). She loves all things dry, bubbly, and fashion-related, and is excited to be dipping her toes into the industry with her new fashion blog, Civil Maverick.
Anna Van Tol is the founder of It’s Only Love Activewear based in Portland, Oregon. Exercise saved Anna, at a time in her life when she desperately needed help. Choosing to love herself through exercise provided her strength and focus. It was this life changing step that sparked the idea for this company. IOL donates 10% of profits to single mother scholarships so they can further their education. The company uses sustainably made clothing while promoting the positive image that everyone deserves to love themselves, regardless of their size or how they look. IOL encourages you to “Love you life, move your body, and help someone do the same.”
Travel Hooligan was created by two friends who met in New Zealand while working in the same hostel. After spending four years living abroad, they came back to the states and started Travel Hooligan. They wanted to assist those wanting to get out of the daily grind and over to Australia and New Zealand using the Working Holiday Visa just like they did. They have created guides for each country (over 100+ pages!) to help you go through the process of obtaining a Working Holiday Visa to getting a job to creating a bank account overseas and everything in between. Guides are available for Canada, Ireland, U.K. and U.S. citizens.

When Emily first left Toronto to study in Paris a week after her eighteenth birthday, her dad gave her a book with the inscription, “Dance all night. Smell the roses.” She has been exploring the world ever since as an educator, Couchsurfer, WWOOFer and insatiable adventurer. The perspective and humility she has gleaned from her travels (mostly solo) through over 30 countries enriches her work as a facilitator of journeys through inner and outer worlds. Emily facilitates workshops and retreats for women, holding space for deep connection with self, others, and the environment. She has been called a human hub, and she gets immense joy out of designing transformational experiences that build community and promote self expression. Emily is the Community Leader of G Day for Girls Toronto, a rite of passage for adolescent girls and their adult champions. In addition to her MA in Education, she teaches dance and is certified in Permaculture Design and Rite of Passage facilitation. She recently moved back to Toronto after working as an Education Consultant at ‘the greenest school on Earth’ – the Green School in Bali.
