It’s no secret that I like to write and travel. It’s what makes me happiest. One of my favorite things to do while I’m on the road is to get off my computer and write with pen and paper. I feel that writing with your hand and connecting it to paper really has a different energy and creativity than typing on my laptop. I feel like I get my emotions and thoughts out of my head much better. I’m one of those who will write a rough draft of a rough draft just so I can write it on paper first. But enough about my obsession!
I wanted to incorporate a travel journal into our Holiday Gift Guide as it’s something that I love to receive as a gift-regardless if I already have 10 of them that I haven’t used. I immediately thought of Rifle Paper Co. and when I did my research, they did not disappoint. Not only did they have a travel journal, they had an entire line of travel-related items. From pocket notebooks to journals to prints to calendars, they had it all. So when I received my Bon Voyage Travel Journal and Passport Pocket Notebooks in the mail, I squealed with delight.
I thought of the best ways to use my new journal and pocketbooks before and during my big move to New Zealand. I always like to start a fresh, new journal when I also start a fresh, new chapter of my life. I started to use the Passport Pocket Notebooks to jot down blog post ideas, things I needed to get for my trip and places I wanted to visit. They work perfectly. They take up little space and are adorable!
How cute are these!?
The Bon Voyage journal is one of my favorite journals I’ve ever had. I love the little details in each page; gold-lined pages with little airplanes everywhere. I also LOVE the feel of the cover. It feels expensive and very well made. I’m using this journal for 2016. I have a lot planned for the next year and this journal is going to help me bring it to fruition.
I’m mean, c’mon. Look at them!
